Treatment of Tooth Decay
Treatment of tooth decay is one of the most common procedures in a dental clinic. In its early stage, decay appears as a white spot on the tooth that may darken over time. If untreated, it gradually penetrates deeper tooth layers.
Our goal is early diagnosis of tooth decay, also using bitewing X-rays. They allow us to detect hidden interdental cavities.
The treatment itself is performed under magnification (dental microscope or loupes) and with modern materials that preserve as much healthy tooth tissue as possible. Our priority is to preserve tooth vitality and prevent damage to the pulp, where blood vessels and nerves are located.

If decay reaches the tooth pulp, endodontic treatment (root canal treatment) is necessary.
