X-ray Examinations
in the Dental Clinic

Our clinic has complete X-ray equipment for modern dentistry. We use several types of X-ray images that allow precise diagnostics and high-quality treatment.

Intraoral X-ray (IO X-ray)

An intraoral X-ray is a small device located directly in the clinic. It allows detailed images to be taken right in the dental chair.

Intraoral Image

This image shows a specific tooth, its root and the surrounding area in detail. It has high diagnostic value and is used mainly for:

  • diagnosing tooth decay
  • monitoring inflammation
  • root canal treatment (endodontics)

Bitewing Image

Bitewing is one of the most important preventive X-ray images. It is especially important during regular preventive check-ups because it allows:

  • checking interdental spaces
  • detecting early cavities and monitoring existing ones
  • showing tartar between teeth
Advanced Diagnostics

Large Panoramic X-ray & 3D CT

Panoramic X-ray (OPG)

OPG is a large overview image that shows the entire dentition and surrounding structures. It is recommended preventively approximately once every 3 years.

The image can show:

  • all teeth including wisdom teeth and their roots
  • kosť, jej stav a inflammations under the teeth
  • sinuses (e.g. cysts) and the jaw joint

3D CT Examination (CBCT)

CBCT is a modern 3D X-ray examination that provides the most precise image of the teeth and jaw structures.

Benefits and Use:

  • detailed three-dimensional imaging with the ability to focus on a specific area
  • nižšia radiačná záťaž vďaka cielenému snímaniu
  • planning dental implants and diagnosing cysts/inflammations
  • complex root canal treatments and detailed bone analysis

Safety and modern technologies: All of our X-ray devices are among the best on the market and meet the strictest standards for protecting patients and medical staff.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have dental X-rays?
We recommend a panoramic image (OPG) at least every 3 years during a preventive check-up. The dentist may recommend bitewing images more often, depending on the condition of your teeth and your risk of cavities.
Are dental X-rays safe?
Yes. Modern digital X-rays produce a minimal amount of radiation, much less than a regular flight. Our devices meet the strictest European standards for patient protection.
When is CBCT (3D imaging) needed?
CBCT is used when planning implants, diagnosing cysts, treating complex root canal cases, and whenever the doctor needs an accurate 3D view of a specific area. We take the scan directly at the clinic while you wait.
Can I receive the images digitally?
Yes. We can burn X-ray images to a CD with viewing software or provide them digitally for another doctor.
