What to Expect

How Does Treatment Work?

The process begins with an individual consultation, where we discuss your treatment plan and whether general anesthesia is suitable for you.

Anesthesiologist

The entire procedure is supervised by an experienced anesthesiologist.

3–4 hours

The length of the procedure depends on the extent of treatment.

Intravenous anesthesia

Anesthesia is administered into a vein; premedication (e.g. Midazolam) is given before the procedure to relax and reduce stress.

Continuous monitoring

The patient is intubated and all vital functions are monitored throughout the procedure.

Controlled sleep

The patient does not perceive the treatment or pain, as they are in a controlled sleep state.

Waking under supervision

After the procedure, waking up takes place under professional supervision.

Safety and Preparation

Before the procedure, a preoperative examination by an internist is required. During the procedure, all vital functions are monitored, and waking up takes place under professional supervision.

Note: Entonox (laughing gas) is not used with this type of anesthesia.
